Toronto propane explosion

Josh and I woke up this morning to what we thought was the sound of LOUD thunder just before 4:00...little did we know what it really was until later. We live about 20 minutes away from the accident site (by car) yet we still heard it.

As it stands right now, a 25 year veteran firefighter (a district chief) lost his life in the blaze and there is a worker who is missing. I believe about 18 people were injured, and most of those were 'minor'. Don't take this the wrong way, but it could have been SO much worse.

By the way, the propane depot is located in the middle of a residential neighbourhood...yes, you read that right.

How scary! So sad about the people who lost their lives, but you're right, it could have been much worse.

I wouldn't want to be the councilor who got that approved by council.

We heard about it and couldn't believe it! Glad that everyone we know back home is safe and sound.

My heart goes out to the families of the propane worker and firefighter.
