I was watching the news just now and saw the above article and couldn't believe what I was seeing. For those of you that don't know, we're having a Federal election in Canada right now (election day is just over a week away).
Anyways, apparently in a couple of ridings there are people who don't like the Liberals and have not only been defacing signs and spray painting houses that have the signs on the lawns, but now the vandals have actually been cutting the brake lines! Let me say that again...vandals are cutting BRAKE LINES of people who leave their cars in their driveway if they have a Liberal sign on their lawn. What the holy hell is that?!
I can't even wrap my mind around that. Not that there's any sense in vandalizing a sign or someone's house with graffiti...but to actually crawl under someone's car and CUT the brake line. I've never heard of anything this scary or disturbing in my life regarding elections.

That is terrible. What is wrong with people? I hope they get caught and go to jail for life. Sometimes it truly does feel like the world is going to Hell in a handbasket!
That is simply awful! Who DOES that?!?!! It seems like a much greater crime than what they are actually doing, since they are using intimidation tactics to try to sway the vote. I hope the government steps in and makes this a VERY big deal.
Shite. The whackos are everywhere. Here, I thought we mostly grew the lunatics in the lower 48.

I heard this on the news and I was sickened that someone would endanger lives over their right to vote a certain party.
I for one would be parking my vehicle in the garage and call my riding for one big as@@ed sign, intimidation would not work on this gal!!
I hope the insane party or parties get caught and face a severe penalty.
That is awful! It makes me angry to think they are doing that in a country where we are free to vote for WHOEVER we want. Wow.

The whole brake line thing is way scary.
I've only ever once put up a sign and that's when I was running for municipal election back in 2006.
OMG, that is crazy! I thought it was bad here. I hate election year! Everyone is at odds!
Just found your blog. WOW! I thought we American's had issues! I guess it's bad all over. Last night someone stole over 1000 signs in Northeast Ohio (where I live). They got one of ours, but left one standing. So we rigged the sign so that IF someone takes it again, they may get a big surprise. lol
