Great news to wake up to...

not.

I found out this morning that the CCAA has decided to take down the box from their site with the information about how far they get with the review room and referrals each month. Great. Another 'lifeline' of information...gone. Isn't that what we all need? Less information?

I'm sorry people, but I'm not going to put on a happy face and say, 'Wow! Isn't this great! We have even less knowledge about our adoption than before! How fantastic!' Sorry, not gonna happen. How is this beneficial to the waiting A-parents out there? How is this beneficial to the agencies who are now going to get X number of frantic emails/phone calls (me being among them already this morning) asking what the hell is going on?

How hard was it to just keep that little box on the site? It wasn't much, but it certainly was...piece of mind. At least we knew things were moving forward. Now, who knows what's going to be? Who knows when the next 'batch' is going to come out?

What's your thought on all of this? How good is your agency at giving you updates?

I'm still a little bit in shock.

If I was waiting for the review room, I would be seriously pissed and up in arms.

As far as the referrals, we usually know what the cut off date is before they even update the box, so I am not angry about that.

As a whole, I think what the CCAA did is pretty crappy. Who the heck knows what is going on with them. It's frustrating and nervewracking to say the least.

Yes, but I enjoyed putting that little box up on my site, as silly as that sounds. It made it feel that things were moving forward...

I too liked that box. Some concrete info from the great Gazoo.

Sucks. I end up knowing more then my rep sometimes.

Ugh..

It vigorously inhales! (or sucks as the case may be) I'm so sorry this is happening to all my blog buddies out there. The wait is hard enough without all this other crap coming in to play.

I can't believe how much money you've saved up each month. that is just awesome. and I love your "postive" comment. LOL

ps. I have trouble sometimes getting your blog to open for me but rest assured I am always reading from bloglines when I can't open it up.! thanks for the holiday card too!

I don't think I am shocked by the CCAA's latest decision, but I am aggrevated.

My agency gives me an update every month after they receive referrals. I don't know if that is normal or not, but now I'm going to have to call and bug them.

From the time my dossier is LID up until referral, I hear NOTHING from my agency. Absolutely nothing. There is no communication AT ALL. I get all my info from the internet, from RQ, and from my agency's yahoo group which is run by clients and former clients. But I knew this when I started so not complaining. They're just not a hand holding kind of agency but they're reputation for handling referral, travel plans, and the in China trip are flawless and legendary. That's why people choose them.

Now about the box, it doesn't concern me. We always know the cut off date long before they post it. The only thing we're losing is review room info. I'm pretty numb about what the CCAA does at this point.

I don't think this is a good thing personally. Only time will tell.

It did give a certain peace of mind.

I guess you have my state of mind now.

My agency tells me absolutely nothing and we are being held back from seeing the SN lists until we are through the review room.
I think they think it will cut down on complaints and give them the ability to refer whatever they want. I think we're going to start hearing about some whacky stuff. We already had been, referrals out of order and such.
