As the world mourns Steve Irwin's tragic death, one heartless person has jumped on her soapbox and said that he basically had it coming...
"The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a whole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of animals with hearing ten times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal-loving zoo owners in their turn."While I hadn't watched his program(s), and I'm not going to jump up and down and say that he was the best thing since sliced bread, he did do a lot for Australia and for the animals he cared for in his zoo.
While everyone *is* entitled to his or her opinion, for Ms. Greer to be saying such things is truly disrespectful to his memory.
Furthermore, for "Steppin' Out" to call him the "deceased asshole of the week" is a travesty. They're obviously saying that to sell more magazines and to picque people's interest to get their name out there. (Or at least that's how I feel).
Thoughts? Kudos? Comments? Complaints?

I totally agree with you. At least he died doing something he loved, which more than most people can say. He brought alot to the animal world and really helped to educate millions. My boys loved him and I learned quite a bit myself from him.
Who's Ms. Greer?
Will a simple bitch slap be acceptable? That is simply tasteless.
Yes, she can have her opinions...but so put...and so right now???
This is who she is, Tracy.
I don't even know what to say to this except that it is horrible. She has no right...no right at all.
