I was there nine months ago (see September and October archives for details), and I can tell you how lacklustre the security at that airport is. Unlike Pearson International Airport, Glasgow International Airport is tiny and you can drive right up to the door. Granted, you can do the same with Pearson, but the ticket counters are farther away from the door...at Glasgow International, you walk through the door and the counters are *right there*. Had the car bomb been bigger, there would have been mass casualties. Thankfully, this was not the case.
Josh's uncle and a married aunt still live in Glasgow, and as a matter of fact, his uncle is coming to visit next week. Now with this terrorist attack (though it hasn't been proven to be one as yet), we don't know if this will change his plans. I guess time will tell...
